I know you guys have some thoughts on this week's training. Micromanagement in 3, 2, 1...

 

I like the use qualcomm routing comment... you do that leaving sparta and your gonna risk getting on 517 which has a 10 ft 6 bridge which you can barely turn around at. Also after you spin around there since you can not fit it tries to send you down a 10k weight limit route where the cops love to sit...

 

Welp, my tenure with Superior is now over. I had planned on staying here until retirement but with recent changes and the current business climate I decided to part ways. Ultimately it was a business decision, if the business isn't working it's time to move on. The people at my terminal are great and I'll miss them. I can't really comment on the new ownership but I think they have good intentions and aren't trying to destroy Superior or anything like that.

In the meantime I'm going to try driving a heavy wrecker and see what that side of the industry is like.

 

Good for you. I put in my notice as well. The camera was the last straw. If I'm going to be micromanaged, I can do that anywhere and be home daily. I suppose Superior won't even exist next year.

 

Wow didn't think we'd be losing drivers on the forum one after the other like this. Today was my last day as well lol. Although my decision wasn't so much based on the changes happening as it was wanting to find something local, which I did.

 

Ya the camera was kinda the last straw for me too. I didn't like the idea of a camera that was recording audio/video 24/7 that I had zero control over. But, if business had been better I would have put up with it.

Ya, I 100% wanted local only. Especially with all the "troubles" going on right now I have very little desire being away from home even for a night or two a week. Where I live its very safe so I don't have to worry so much about any violence or civil unrest happening to me.

 

Hate to see you guys go, but I understand. Had to figure superior would lose some people, heniff has a completely different culture than superior had, I Wish you guys luck

 

I didn't realize it recorded audio. Even more reason to quit. I also got a local job.

 

I'm not sure on the peoplenet, but the ones that were factory installed on the new Internationals are video only.

 

Hate to see a good member of the team go. You have helped me out when I had questions under my previous user account on here. Pasadena, my terminal has been very busy lately. While the other terminals are not. I have been doing nothing but out and backs last three weeks.

I have had the factory installed forward cam in my international since I started here a year ago. I have had no problems with it. Never heard anything from safety. Not sure why so many are bothered by it
