I expect I could go to feeders now, but it'd be on a seasonal basis. There is more demand where I am for package car, it seems, and I am not going in as a seasonal worker. I plan to reevaluate my position after I make top rate on package car.authentic251 and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

Good plan. If you top out on package car rate, you stay there when you move to feeders. And trust me, if they find out you have a CDL, that move to feeders could happen sooner than you think.JPenn Thanks this.

That's kind of what I was hoping for. Thanks for the encouragement.MACK E-6 and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

You got this. Go get yourself a career.

Nothing against feeders. If anything I envy y’all. However, I’d think twice about leaving package car. I work 7-430 and deliver to a lot of doctor and dentist offices etc. Women LOVE the delivery guys. One of the many benefits since I left the night driving.
MACK E-6, JPenn, McUzi and 1 other person Thank this. -
A lot of guys find it really hard to leave package car. It is really tough to find anything resembling a daytime schedule on feeders. The work is far more physical, but the schedule is nice.
And yes. The uniform is a thing. LolMACK E-6 and Air Cooled Thank this. -
Well, my on-car training starts this coming week, so we'll see where that goes. Can't be much worse than hand-unloading 3000 cases floor-stacked in a drop-frame dry van (previous driving gig).
Now, the uniform... There has got to be a set of shorts with a cargo pocket, longer inseam, or both. These Twinhill things they pass off as shorts are borderline indecent.MACK E-6, authentic251 and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
There are longer shorts. Ask about them. Haha

You guys still using twin hill at your hub? Thought they moved on from them.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
