I’ve been home 8 days and I’m heading out in a few hours.

For me, I completely lost the ability to be out on the road. I was starting to suffer from bad depressive bouts in 2014 and 2015, and though there was likely a bid right around the corner at my old company, it still just wasn't enough to get home every other day.
I went local in late 2015, and I miss absolutely nothing.Sirscrapntruckalot, Montanaland, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
I have the opposite problem. I’ve always found it hard to sit at home. I retired several times and it was fun at first but found it not fun after a short time. My life is action not sitting. Just received an email from my companies VP of sales .... “we are way overbooked on freight but but our drivers want to sit at home. So I guess your right a lot of other drivers don’t want to leave home either. Worry not driver , plenty of political leaders hear you and your checks are on the way if you just give them your vote.

I stayed home for about 9 weeks finishing a remodel project I started 8 years ago.
I could not wait to get back to work.
Been asholes and elbows ever since. I was barely home for my 34 last weekend doing truck repair. Looks like another short weekend at home again this weekend.
I’m busting as as I’m a little concerned that this winter could be a little rough. Trying to fill up the war chest before the freight marry-go-round stops.Ruthless, Ezrider_48501, TallJoe and 3 others Thank this. -
I’ve been home since April 4th, be going back, after the 25th. I thought I’d get a lot done. But really haven’t. It’s been nice, honestly. I realize now, how little We can live on, cooking good meals, and not spending much. I’d get a local Job, but fear I’d regret it. I’m not going to complain about having choices. I have a few. That’s more than most can say. I’m debating whether to do short trips, and get home, more often. Or just start running as much as possible. In the past, Working always seems to be the best medicine. Also makes time go by quicker, especially Trucking. The sooner this years over, the better. I guess I’ll find out soon enough. Right now, I could hang out around the house till October, when it turns cold. Then I’m ready to head south.
TallJoe, TokyoJoe, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this.
