Why do my straps do this, and how to stop it?

I’ll take a pic tomorrow of something yall can get a kick out of- the manac flat i bought last year end has a tie bar, and as mentioned somewhere recently, j hooks.
its a head scratcher. -
They do the same thing on our Great Dane. Underneath, they sit at a queer angle that I don't trust. I don't tie to the rail on our Mac though,I use the tie bar underneath.
Tug Toy Thanks this. -
Beside the tie down ratings listed on the trailer frame as shown, my Reitnouer also had printed material, numbered and matching what is shown on the trailer placard, that showed exactly how straps or chains are connected for each of those numbered items. #2 and #6 Stake Pockets were two different means of attachment.

All these years and I never heard of that. But it is great news, I have winches only on one side, and resisted putting them on both side because I prefer not to have to use the rub rail for tie down, and there is often not room for J-hooks. I assume I should get that bar from Reitnouer to ensure that it is properly rated for load securement. I could ask "it's just a piece of aluminum, how much could it cost?" but I probably don't want to know! Good information, thanks much.

Any flat bar will work. Don't over think it. And the reitnouer one is not predrilled. So go to any dealer and buy a full length rub rail, one piece, or if you have a reitnouer dealer they should have that. I think it's around 9.00 a foot. Any 1/4" by 2-3" wide flat bar will work.roshea Thanks this.
