    Aah ok so more than likely mines a 400 cat my aftercooler looks like your setup and that 2500 is sweet bro, I re built the whole truck it was rusted to the bone put new panels lifted it 9” threw some nice wheels and got it painted working on making it a 1 ton soon

    No, regular hood. Registered as an RV. Hope to finally start working on it this fall. AG100 with SQHD will be sawed off and replaced with Pete Low Air leaf with Spicer DSP41.

    My 98 1500 has around 10" lift on 37's. I'm second owner, bought it in 2001 with 33,000 miles. Moved it other day and noticed it had hit 69,000. Sits in garage covered in dust. KIMG2516.JPG
    The 97 2500 has 99,000 miles. I have known every owner of the truck, dealer where it sold is ten miles from my house. It is a factory 454 truck.

    Speaking of aftercooled engines. Are they good at cooling the charged air compared to the intercooler?

    I noticed the 2000 850C Deere Dozer that we bought recently has an aftercooler.

    I noticed that all our excavators which are newer have intercoolers.

    Thanks brother just read your comment, if you don’t mind I just have one other question after reading your response, I haven’t took a look yet but I will for sure but if it’s the wrong pistons would the motor run or not, would there be any symptoms that would give it away? because I drove it 1400 miles back home and it seemed fine a little low on power but it’s also my first time driving a 3406b model I’ve driven the E’s and Cummins n14 never this old of an engine so maybe I’m not used to the performance
