The only thing I'm angry about at this moment is the denial I see here. I have no intention to divide people, quite the opposite. I'm hoping the folks here will see how the tolerance of subtle racism -- which is clearly what is being espoused here-- is the thing that actually has divided people. When you want to answer the question, "Why does 75% of the country support the BLM issue?" The answer is simple: Because institutional racism exists at all levels in this country.
I thank you for your concern that I seem angry. I would prefer to call it "emphatic".I have no wish to divide anyone from anything....except their ignorance---something we all have from time-to-time. Remember: ignorance is not stupidity....it's just not being aware of something.

So I guess my ex girlfriend of 8 years born and raised in Milan Italy was wrong to identify her self as Northern Italian.
My dear friend of 15 years , born and raised in Australia as Australian.
My other friend of 25 years Mike and though his parents were born in South Korea and he was born in the US he still refers to himself as Korean .

So, what you're saying, is that people should not be proud of their heritage, but instead, should conform to whatever you think society should look like. You are also saying that anyone who refuses to denounce their heritage, in favor of your idea of a utopian society, is ignorant, or worse.
You know, it would be much easier to just move to a country that already embraces your ideals. You would probably be much happier and fulfilled, if you didn't have to spend so much time educating us ignorant rubes. North Korea comes to mind, as it has reached a zenith of utopian conformity.Brettj3876, TokyoJoe, Eldiablo and 8 others Thank this. -
Oh
So that’s what I have been seeing with all the fires and rioting and shootings and murdering on the news.
If this is a Compassionate future I want no part of it.Brettj3876, aaronpeterbilt3787, TokyoJoe and 12 others Thank this. -
And I stand corrected from my original post
I am truly Sorry.
My correct observation should have been Sitting Bear with feathers.Brettj3876, TokyoJoe, Nostalgic and 5 others Thank this. -
@quatto you call for compassion. But judge the OP w/o knowing him. Just wrongly as a police officer seeing a person of color and assuming they don't belong in a rich neighborhood.
The reason most of us are defending him. Is we do know his character. Because we are friends with him. As many of us have pointed out. He was talking agency Indian/reservation police.
Instead of beating a dead horse and trying to label him something he's not. Maybe try to be constructive.TokyoJoe, singlescrewshaker, roshea and 2 others Thank this. -
Don't worry, you obviously won't be part of it. And the shootings are mostly by police and those egged on by our illustrious leader. The rest are protesting PEACEFULLY for human rights.

I've been constructive in trying to express my argument. I have no doubts that he's a decent person. Decent people can say things that unknowingly offend or hurt others. That's why I hope you and he come to see things just a little bit better from the eyes of someone who has been on the butt end of racism.
