I think this thread is dead ( at least I hope so ) soooo....

My first style was Burmese Bando or what is today called Thai Kick boxing or Muay Thai , way back before it became a household name. My second style was Ju Jitsu / Judo and my third was Kungfu with a emphasis on "sets" or "forms"....crane, tiger, dragon, monkey, eagle, etc. My fourth and final styles were Tai Chi Chuan -- Yang and Chen styles. I taught the first credit course in martial arts in my state at a local college in Washington state that was fairly eclectic in style and composed of all the styles I knew. I also taught the local police and DEA their "come-along" and disarming techniques years ago. At the ripe age of 69, can still do some things without completely breaking my parts...lol. It really surprises me when I kick the heavy bag and it makes that satisfying "crack" sound and makes all the youngsters turn with those " did you see that old fart?? " eyes. lol These days though I'm more cut out for Tai Chi Chuan than the hard stuff which really hurts my old bones! (And makes my wife call me a dumb arse. ) Are you a martial artist?

People are too senstitive to be offended by things that have nothing to do with them.

Sorry to those who think this is racists, but I am told by my friends, neighbors and former neighbors do not called them politically correct monikers,

I had one get angry over my mistake by mentioning the two words he and his family hate - African and American, they are Americans who are black, his father wanted me to use the word negro.

My wife's family are partially native American, but part of the family still have a few living on a reservation want to be called Indians, even though their official title is First Nations members, they hate that term. The joke was when they came here to visit my mother-in-law, they didn't want to go to a good steak house (Mortons) but to the Punjab palace because it was Indian food.

Everyone has racisism inside of them, those who suppress it and accept others who are outwardly vocal are those who are lost in the noise. Too many are overly sensitive because quite frankly they have nothing better to do but look for things to be offended by, and this reflects in their lack of education.

Not to make this political but if you traveled not as a tourist but as someone who learns other cultures, there is one truth about this country, we are the least racists of all of them. We are a diverse popularion acceptance of outsiders is the norm, not the exception. I spent a lot of time in Europe doing research for my education and to this day there is a lot of hatred and racism as an open secret, not obvious to the oblivious but it is there if someone really opened their eyes.

If you don't believe me about our country, just look at how many people want to come here, if it was such a bad place, they would go to Canada instead.

The actual number of people that support a Marxist movement that hates what the USA stands for is very small. All of this psychobabble about racist statements and some ignorant claims that someone sounded "a little racist" and nobody has said a single thing about any race, unless of course, you consider "Indian police" a race. When in fact neither, Indian, nor Police are races.
