I have a serious question, why do you want to be a truck driver? Trucking is hard on your body when you are in great shape.

I don't care what bull$hit people are feeding you. The truth is trucking wreaks havoc on your body. Go to any truck stop. Watch the drivers get out of the truck. Even the ones that aren't out of shape usually walk with a limp.

Lots of folks say truckers are a pain.
Not sure if that is the same thing.

    LOL

I have torn ACL in my left knee and drove a Pete 359 eleven yard mixer for several years, with a manual.

Did local deliveries for a year with a 13 speed manual, having fractured right wrist twice.

Tylenol young man, go Tylenol lol.

Stay away from the Tylenol. It'll destroy your liver if taken in large doses, especially with alcohol. Instead of asking your dispatch for home time, you'll be asking them if your insurance covers a liver transplant.

Excedrin extra strength. And Blue Emu work pretty well for temporary pain relief. If sounds like you really need to see a Doctor. One other thought .... have you changed the pillow you are using? I had a problem with neck pain a while back and a different pillow cured the problem.

I drive dump trucks, with heavy front ends, and Chalmers suspension, on rough old wore out beat to hell county roads and town streets all day every day.

    Yes, I truck with pain!

  9. I eat the maximum allowable amount of Ibruprofen each day and I worry about my liver because of that. Luckily, I have a friend with a bunch of expired surplus medicine so I don't pay for Ibruprofen.

I would love to see a chiro-back-ter-crack-ter but they cost too much.

I'd rather truck through the pain than be one of those parasite people who pursues a disability check all day over some minor medical problems, so they can sit on their fat butt and be unproductive and just live like a blood-sucking wood tick in the sweaty crack of society.

I have noticed if I ride any length of time with my arm or even just my elbow up on the “arm rest” by the window, it misalignes my shoulder and neck and next think I know I’m hurting all through my neck, shoulder, arm, etc. I try to never put my arm up there. Something else to consider, pain in the neck and or pain at the base of the skull COULD be a sign of high blood pressure. You should go see a doctor.

Exercise appropriately. See the chiropractor. The 1st visit is the biggest bill. They have to know what they're working with. The charges go way down from there. I go in just for adjustments. The "therapy" gets spendy. If you still have pain try Tramadol. If it doesn't put you to sleep you're good.

I've had 4 back surgeries, have degenerative disc disease from head to L5 and some other stuff. I'm in pain all the time and Tramadol takes the edge off so I can live. Keep a good attitude, it helps a bit.
