We use a lot of different lucus products here. We have never had that problem. Maybe just a bad bottle.

I just run my Schaeffers grease on the fifth wheel...that stuff is almost like taffy. I never knew that the Lucas stuff was to be used with your normal grease. Kinda defeats the purpose and adds extra cost in my mind if a operation does a lot of drop and hook.

Another thing I used to do is mix gear oil and tube grease in a can.adayrider and Oldironfan Thank this. -
as far as lucas fifth wheel lube i was dissapointed as well because of the liquidity issue
but i like most of their other products -

I use the stuff exclusively just dont put it in til your ready to hook up it lasts an amazing amount of time longer than grease for me I love it one bottle lasts me probably 10 lubes far cheaper than grease

I use it the same way right before hookup. I like the stuff so far.
