Ok thank you..do you mind me asking what kind of fridge you have and how you have it set up? I have a Hisense 3.2 cu ft from Walmart and I have it strapped down (no special insulation or nothing around it). At first I thought it might be the bumps from the road but after research I see a lot of folks have the same set up I have and don't seem to have these issues.

I have a magic chef have it set up tight behind my passenger sit where the there are supposed to be hooked to a pure sine inverter from harbor freight. By the way harbor freight was pretty great my first inverter went no question asked they told me to go pick another off the shelf

The only thing I can think of, is lack of ventilation behind the unit, making it run hot. I noticed a cut out, in the original cabinets, on my Truck.

I dont have a cabinet in my truck I just have a platform by the bunk to sit a fridge on. My last one was sitting where the passenger seat sits. I was on another thread and I noticed my fridge was strapped really tight and also straight on the plastic platform in the truck. That seems to be the 2 differences. I'm going to try this and see what happens.
