Alright my freind so I gave that a shot I got no suction I also tried putting fuel into a 5 gallon bucket and running it that way the transfer pump isn’t sucking any fuel so I disconnected and re connected all my lines made sure there’s nothing clogging it still nothing, leads me to believe the transfer pump is shot but what are your thoughts? Any other components aside from the pump that could give me an issue? The transfer pump is brand new
jamespmack, Coffey and wore out Thank this. -
Other than sucking air at the bottom of inlet fitting no. I am gonna say that the new pump is tits up.....which is rare but not unheard ofjamespmack, Coffey and 650cat425 Thank this.

Alright thanks for the info, so I guess back to CAT it is for me hopefully they don’t give me a hard time returning or exchanging it, but again I appreciate your help hope you enjoy the rest of your weekendjamespmack, wore out, Coffey and 1 other person Thank this.

Hey brother so update is apparently they gave me the wrong part originally bow they gave me a new part going off the serial number but what I don’t understand is the part that I had and we were just talking. About actually mounts up nicely the new one they gave me doesn’t mount up correctly but now we know why it wasn’t pumping it was the wrong part but I’m gonna post some pics of the new pump that doesn’t fit can you tell me if this looks right to you because they said this is the pump that goes. On all the 7fb’s but they also said that about the last one lol ♂️
Coffey Thanks this. -

Sorry posted twice and yes that’s an image off google because I’m not near the part to post that but it’s the Same but is this for the 7fb? The diameter is to wide to fit into the fuel pump inlet
-
Ok the reason it doesn't fit is a lobe works that plunger up and down....roll the motor till it pushes up and bolt it down. I will bet that the plunger of the pump that wouldn't work wasnt even hitting the cam if it bolted up that easy
-
The one that bolted up isn’t for the truck though it goes to a c12 the one in the picture is the correct pump but if you notice before the piston is that shaft thing the diameter for that is a little to wide for the inlet on the injection pump so this one isn’t fitting but it’s for the truck that’s what I’m confuse about

7FB94590 Arramgement number 7C-9438 was built 6-25-1987 shipped 7-7-1987. 350 horsepower/1200 ft lb 1800 rpm engine.
C model internals means crank swap due to a c model has wider rod journals for the rod bearings. A very easily noticeable difference.
B nozzles and C nozzles are the same but if no pump work was done at the time of the upgrade that will cause a low power issue. Wrong barrels and plungers, cam in the pump, and rack. I’d keep the 1800 rpm governor assembly, it gives fuel down low more than a 2100 rpm. That’s my preference to be able to pull down low and keep rpms down.
