It’s been 7 years since I had a jost. The one I had to release push forward (towards cab) then pull.

Tried both ways. Now waiting for a lovely person to come show me how to properly do it.

Thank you. The mechanic that came said it shouldn’t have been that hard to pull out. He had a hard time with it himself. He snuck up on me and almost had it done before I even saw him. Had to have him do it again just so I could see how it worked. This video definitely helps. Guess I have to do some strength training because pulling out and up isn’t an easy thing for me. (Get your minds outta the gutter!)

That’s how mine unlocks. You almost have to do that in one motion.

Get a crowbar hook it through the pull lever and tap it with a small sledge hammer. Had to have mine replaced too. Apparently, when I got rear ended it hairline fractured it which I did not see and started cracking apart with the heavy loads I pull. Lucky I didn't lose a trailer! Thought all my damage was the trailer. NOPE!

When we moved, space in the moving truck got real tight towards the end... ended up giving my Weber to our neighbors down there... time to start looking for a replacement.

That Slow n Sear company has a new Weberesque model I might try out.
