That is your OPINION! It is a CHOICE that I made for my particular situation. I am saving a crap load of money for my retirement, I am 60 years old. I will retire very comfortably in 6 or 7 years. The last 4 years since I started driving have afforded me the ability to acquire rental properties in my home town. I have 3 units that will be free and clear in 2 1/2 more years. So.......what works for me, may not work for others. Please, don't be such a judgemental #######. You do what works for you!

Doesn't bother me a bit. I have said it before on this Forum. This is not a one size fits all industry.

I also switched to do local fuel delivery like you’re doing. I fished in summers but now retired after 21 years of it. I only drove in winters for FFE and Transport America. OTR was stressful because family but I miss it so much now. I plan on doing it again after we get a handle on Covid. My oldest son is thinking about it as well. Once its in your blood its tough to stop

I joined this forum several months ago to keep informed and maybe share some of my experiences with a new driver, or someone thinking of getting into the business. There is some solid information I have gleaned on this forum, and some members that use this forum for its intended purpose. I appreciate your response. It is unfortunate, that this board is also populated by some folks that just prefer to hurl insults or flame posts for their own juvenile entertainment. It reminds me of the antics of my son and his buddies in an AOL Chatroom when they were in Middle School. Some children just don't seem to grow up.

    Rocks Thanks this.
