When installing the centrifugal filter the element must be installed in the cap first. If the filter is insalled in the housing the filter will lean and the button can peirce or damages the bearing in the cap. Get a new filter and cap. Also inspect the lower bearing in the oil filter module housing.
Check both filters that they are the correct part number and i would only recommend using Paccar filters. Aftermarket filters can spin at higher RPM and cause premature bearing failure.

Hey buddy, It's been a while but I recall replacing the whole thing. I can't remember how much the part was but that alone gave me a good 10 to 15 psi of oil pressure.Rookie o/o Thanks this. -
When you say replace the whole thing? Cover with the bearing and filter? Anything you can remember would be a great help
-
Would switching from 1540 to 1030 with lucas cause a drop in pressure?
-
The whole cover with the bearing
-
What kind of pressure drop are we talking?
Oil viscocity change slightly but less than 5 psi if I had to say a number. -
Was getting 15 at start up then it drop to 10 psi
Realized I was missing the bottom bearing for the centrifugal filter Bought it 28 bucks at dealer
Pressure shot up to 30 at idle but going down the highway I’m getting b/w 65-70 psi just changed my oil too. Don’t know if this is normal -
G
o some better results after noticing I was thinking missing the bottom bearing for the centrifugal filter. 30 psi at idle 65psi going down the highway with new oil
Does 65pounds sound normal? Shouldn’t it drop down to around 40 -
Mine was gone but gone where is my next problem..
