Nothing at all wrong with that.
I have two Mauser K98's, and theoretically it's very possible that at least one of them may have been used to do some of Das Fuhrer's dirty work.
Where is everyone #5

Get one at a gun show. Don't buy from Mitchell's Maulers. They are fraud artists of the worst kind.
Their guns are marketed as some sort of "never issued and found in some abandoned building somewhere where they've been sitting since the liberation of Berlin", which is a load of crap.
They take Russian captures, peen all the marks off, and add their own. You'll definitely a have a nice looking rifle that will shoot, but you'll be paying for more than that.PoleCrusher, jamespmack, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this. -

For small, mine is a Ruger LC9 with a shoulder holster, not a wheel gun of course lol. Not real hip in the trigger but it holds a decent pattern and is consistent.....NightWind, PoleCrusher, Eldiablo and 7 others Thank this. -
Oh I was thinking you were gonna say they take parts from other k98’s and market it as original conditionPoleCrusher, jamespmack, singlescrewshaker and 3 others Thank this.

Yeah thats a pretty old piece. When i was a kid we burned cherry stock blanks in a coal stove by the 55 gallon drum and they kept a pretty big house warm. Probably coulda been rich selling them on etsy two blocks at a time by now!
I started just as all the steel frame pistol department machines [third gens] were being sent up to the houlton plant and replaced with polymer. Grip making had already been eliminated and hogue synthetics were on the way in.
That plant had one hell of a dumpster. It made us junk rich.PoleCrusher, Eldiablo, beastr123 and 6 others Thank this. -
Do you make your own lead balls by melting down the lead in a smelter or something? I’m gonna home cook all my ammo but I always thought black powder firearms were really interesting to do it that wayPoleCrusher, jamespmack, singlescrewshaker and 2 others Thank this.
