Hello, my company name is AAA Brothers LLC. We're a small-ish company out of Mokena, IL. Currently running 13 trucks and looking to be at 15 at the end of the year.
Currently we have 3 trucks sitting and the market is booming. I've been trying different things to attract drivers (Craigslist/Indeed postings, word of mouth, Facebook page) but since we're not a large company we're no one's first choice. I pay 30% straight commission on loads and dispatch with a picture of the rate confirmation so you know I'm being honest. I respect home time, vacations and driver requests for specific locations. I pay every week and have never missed or held a paycheck no matter how badly I've been played. I refund anything drivers have to buy for the truck, trippaks, scale tickets, etc. We have our own mechanics, our own parking right at the shop, no forced dispatch, no ########. The trucks are not brand new but they are overhauled and don't break down, and if they do I pay per day they are broken down plus hotels. I pay 50% for plane tickets and ubers when drivers go back home. I understand drivers need to be treated well and be happy to stay and there is a lot of choice out there, and I try my hardest every day to make sure everything is fair.
Most of my drivers hover between $1,500 and $2,000 per week if they are over the road (but they can get up to $2750, like one of my drivers did last week) or $1,200 to $1,5000 if they are local. My drivers are happy and most of them have been with me for years. And every experienced driver that ends up with us, stays with us because they understand they will be cared for.
What can I do to get people to fill out these trucks? What do you guys need? Please talk to me (call or text me at 708-879-28 Seven Zero), I need drivers and I want to make it worth it. I am looking for both local and over the road. Check my Facebook page too, it hasn't been live for long but every day I post our best load and every week I post the highest gross a driver has made. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Flatbed company, I need 3 drivers. Let's work this out. Small company that cares.
