The possibility of unloading the tires didn't even occur to me. No way I do it for what they're offering.

 

Forget that noise then. I could make 25-50% more doing P&D.

 

I wouldn't go to their dry van division unless I just wanted my foot in the door to go to the tanker side. Last time I recall (about 2 yrs ago) they paid 20/hr plus OT for the dry van division

 

Glad I could be of help! Yeah it's been a ruff year so far for lots of refined product tanker companies due to pandemic. Really companies in general. I actually took a break from driving and went to work for a Toyota dealership last year. Then pandemic hit and I went to work for a local environmental company as a vacuum truck operator. Now I'm fixing to start my own thing working as an O/O hauling liquid food grade product. Been quite the journey and hassle but hopefully this will work out for the best!!

 

Got tired of dealing with corporate stuff. It's a good job but they just go overboard on all kind of stuff. Pretty much stress you out all the time

 

Man, I really want to know what kind of corporate stuff makes someone quit an $80k+ home every week job.

 

I heard it’s a lot of micro management crap. I run from that too.....
