What do you guys run in your trucks as far as technology? Do you use your phone for carrier packets? Laptop? Scanner? Printer? What computer programs or apps have you found to be necessary?

    thanks all.

I use my lap top, hot spot, and I have a small printer in my truck. The printer is getting less use as more dispatchers move to phone apps or electronic BOL's to record PU, DEL, and condition of the vehicles. The phone is used for the ELD function. Thats about it for me...Tks

Pretty much the same, I have a large tablet I use for navigation, google maps and entertainment and my phone for ELD. Either one can replace the other. Both phone and tablet can run all the apps and both have their own sim. I keep my old phone in the glove compartment incase both tablet and current phone crap out on me. Also small printer (Canon Pixma iP110) which gets used at most once or twice a week when a broker insists on a paper bol or I need a gate pass for the auctions when the offices are closed but the security is still open.
Does my fridge and battery powered fan count?

My dispatcher takes care of all the carrier packet stuff and my phone camera has a pretty decent scan function that works well enough.

I'm a car hauler and use superdispatch for my BOLs, CoPilot for truck navigation and loves/pilot app to find truckstops and see what services they have before I get there. Also, the pilot app lets me turn on the fuel pump without going inside.

Not hotshot, but I have a laptop, portable printer, and portable scanner in my semi. Use my phone for elog, sometimes internet, and other stuff.

I had the scanner long before the printer. Use it to scan reciepts to store on my laptop for taxes, and to scan bols to store after delivering or to email.

I run my entire business using my phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.
Portable Printer but, I stopped using it when I purchased this phone because I can sign documents on the phone and never have to print them.

I have Omnitrax for logs, and many apps such as pilot, loves, maps, GasBuddy, comdata, etc.

Lots of stuff in the O/O forum about this. I do everything from the truck too. Tablet mounted to dash runs my GPS and is my hotspot. Inverter powers laser printer and laptop.

This keeps my phone free for all the other stuff you use one for these days.
