Either that or sometime when your at the yard have them show ya. I could walk ya thru it on the phone pretty easily. It'd would be a real long explanation on here.Metacoyote Thanks this.

Also make sure ya have the chain tightening tool in your side box. Its a t shaped handle with a square end for inserting in the locking cams to turn them.Metacoyote and Lumper Humper Thank this.

Geez man, you caught a bad break with that load. That's little bit of layover pay thereLumper Humper Thanks this.

Dont feel bad bro. I've never chained either. I know how, but never had to. I haven't been in a situation where I have had to yet. The last time I got caught in Colorado when it snowed a lot, they shut down every interstate to get out of there. I ended up having to wait it out anyway. I try my best to anticipate bad weather but on occasion, the show has to go on. Sometimes it snows so much that even chaining up wont counter itMetacoyote and Lumper Humper Thank this.

Oh yeah, I'm actually under a Sauer load now. In waiting to drop off in a little over an hourMetacoyote and Lumper Humper Thank this.

Same here. When we had an ice storm in Georgia about 8 years ago I thought I was finally going to have to give chaining a try but dispatch told us if we even tried to drive on it we wouldn't have a job -- even if we made it back safely. Tnis
I bet we were there at the same time. I left about 0700 to pick up a salt load in Kanapolis. They have me hauling a serious load. Their scales said 80,300. Cat Scales say 80,580. Dispatch told me to slide my 5th wheel and I should be good. But like every other truck I've ever driven I can't get it to slide, so this should be interesting.bryan21384 and Lumper Humper Thank this. -

This was JB Hunt so it kind of surprised me that they were so quick to shut everything down. Does Climate pretty much leave it up to the driver to make the decision?bryan21384 Thanks this.

Picking up in Platteville CO and going to Columbia. About 12 trucks here all with appointments from 1800-2100. Hopefully they get me going sooner than later.
bryan21384 Thanks this. -
Your only allowed 450 over for the apu. Some places its 500. So be mindful when your getting fuel. Try an burn some off to allow for bein 580 over gross. Be careful brother.Metacoyote and Lumper Humper Thank this.
