The House passed highway bill has a provision to stop the FMCSA from implementing the changes. Don't know if the Senate version has it or if and when there is a final bill will have it.Hulld Thanks this.

Thanks for your response. I haven't even start working. Speaking of companies, I'm sending my application to Schneider as we speak. The reason why I choose Schneider, is because i heard good reviews about training and orientation programs. I'm not a person that " Chases easy money ", like some new drivers, that are obsessed about " Making money right away ". As i responsible person,im aware that learning is the key to make money. So, im not focused on money for now, rather learning. I'm sure companies will teach me the log books, but I always try to be 1 step forward, on learning things on my own, before. This way, I will be " Prepared ", when I start my classroom training. I know, you guys, experienced truckers have worked very hard to achieve what you guys know now. I have a great deal of respect for you guys. Just trying to be a step forward in the process . Thanks for your help .

Maybe it's more easy to under their are only a couple rules. Then you can put them together to make your driving and working day
14 hour limit from the time you start working for the day
11 hours driving per day
No more then driving 8 hour continues without a 30 minute
10 hours off or in sleeper berth and you reset the the 14 and 11 and 8 hour limits
If you start driving at 8 am you have till 10 pm (14 hours) you can drive and stop and eat or take shower or load or unload or fuel truck all in that 14 hour window.jc3737 Thanks this. -
I think it might be a little far in the game to stop it but we will see what happens.
I did read where the dot stated earlier this month that they are full speed ahead for the September 29 implementation Of the new rules and have no plans for any delay or abatement. -
Don't worry about it. The electronic logs will show you remaining time and how long on various duty status.
It's much easier/foolproof than paper logs.jc3737 Thanks this. -
Here is ELD screen shot, when I stared in morning timers would have been 8 hour till 30 minute break and 11 hour driving time and 14 hour shift and 70 hours for the week.
This is what driving day look like on graph they use. You can see all driving is in green. You can see pre trip time at start of day. Then post trip at end of day. Rest of time was loading and unloading. Plus two Off Duty time for eating and stuff. Worked 9 hour and 23 minutes. Next load don't pickup till tomorrow morning

Every day starts out with a full 8 and 11 and 14 hours. Your 70 hour clock keeps counting down for the week as you keep working.
