I agree with JPM. That is probably condensate from the A/C unit and that means it is working right.
As far as your coolant consumption goes, do you have a coolant overflow tank and are you only filling it to the full hot line to stop dumping coolant out under a heavy pull? the overflow/expansion tank is there to keep air out of the pressurized part of the cooling system while letting the coolant expand with heat and contract with cooling. The radiator cap should not be touched and you should add only to the overflow/expansion tank to the full line and expect that level to vary during the day and not to fuss with it if it is above the add line in the morning with a cold engine.

From the picture showing the wet ground next to steer tire....look at most of the other running trucks, you will probably see the same thing. Coolant is either green or orange or red,and this shows in the puddle under the truck, also, dip your finger in the wet area (on the ground, not on the engine...tends to be very hot ya know) and it would be oily if it is coolant, just wet if water.
As others have said, keep an eye on the overflow tank...over the radiator. This will change levels during the running period, even if idling in very warm weather. In the morning before you do a pretrip, shut down the engine when you go inside to "take care of business",give it at least an hour to cool down, now pop the hood and the first thing you should be looking at is the coolant level....and get to know where the "full cool" and "full hot" indicator lines are...usually on the wind shield side of the tank right in front of your eyes. Also, makesure you know which color coolant you are supposed to be using...never mix colors! Never over fill the coolant! It will just boil out onto the ground and coolant isn't exactly cheap anymore!
