New Glider kit thread

Just asked a Western Star salesman about gliders a few minutes ago and was told they are done. Not sure if it's just this location or not.

 

Call kw, the website says they have them.

 

Like done as in no more build slots available? We order one through truck city in Gary Indiana this spring. Its now locked and can't make changes it starts production 2nd week of September with a delivery date for October.

 

Kenworth is still making gliders to finish out the year orders. But you would need to find a dealer that has a build slot that is still open.

 

I'm guessing no more slots available. A friend of mine ordered one there and told me it was the last one and I happened to be there and asked the salesman when he walked by. All he said was gliders are done. That makes 3 gliders in the last couple of months for the company I pull for so the change is recent. Within the last week or two. Delivery date on the truck is the beginning of October. Curious to see if other dealers are going to offer it into next year.

 

Harrison Truck Center in Elk Run Heights ,IA got my 2020 a couple months ago for $146,500! Great people to work with highly recommend them.

 

You’re out of luck if you are wanting to order Paccar. A local shop that put together around thirty a year the past few years told me that last year. They might have one or two they are buttoning up, but those were ordered last year.
