1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I know how you feel. I have everything but Hazmat. Was told to wait on that till I needed it.

Have you been actively looking since you obtained your CDL ? That's quite a gap from date of issue until present.

Another negative against you. That gap will force a refresher course on you, unless some company is willing to give you a chance. Which most won't at this time.

In order to even get on the same playing field as recent grads. You'll need to get a refresher course from "a" school. Otherwise, it may be another 2 years before you find something. If you find anything at all.

I am just curious, are there O/O's that train? If you know you want to be more than a company driver and become an O/O yourself, I would think that being trained by a successful O/O would be of great value. Not to mention, that you will get better training over all I would think by an O/O.
I would also think that there would be some benefit for the O/O by being able o run team afer trainee is up to par.

Wow, waited one year after you got you CDL. You will need a refresher course; which will cost you about $1200.00.

    Good luck.
