Please don't try to put window dressing on this. There is a pattern of crime that has been going on for decades because some people had rather steal and sell drugs than get an honest job.Dino soar, nredfor88, Swedish Chef and 4 others Thank this.

Yes it is true. The prosecution proved by DNA that simpson was guilty. There was no reasonable doubt created by the glove stunt. If you recall the trial happened at a time of civil unrest as well and the jury was full of minorities. He got off because he was black and the two people he butchered were white.Dale thompson and 650cat425 Thank this.

No. He was rich. Lots get off due to color. His color was green.bryan21384, daf105paccar, Rocks and 3 others Thank this.

You guys might actually try reading what the jurors said as to why they acquitted Simpson.
Just a thought.daf105paccar, mjd4277 and gentleroger Thank this. -
But this is more fun. LOL
gentleroger and not4hire Thank this. -
That could be for some of the charges, but what about "causing soft tissue damage to an officer"? Why couldn't that charge be sustained?
The officer in question was cited in a report that came out after Blake's arrest and before the trial where the arresting officer was shown to have lied and should have been charged with perjury, but the statute of limitations had expired.
I'm not saying Blake was an angel. I'm not saying his actions were right or justified. I'm not saying the riots or looting are good or justified.
I am saying that Kenosha PD has a lot of ownership of what has happened. They had money to buy at least 1 armored vehicle but not money to buy body cameras? Even if Kenosha PD got the vehicle for free thru the defense procurement program, why can the federal government supply miliatry gear but not body cameras? Why resist making public data on policing - data that the Heritage Foundation argues would help build trust and justify police actions?
This stuff happened after Fergeuson, it happened after Eric Gardner, it happened after George Floyd . If we don't try and understand why its happening and take steps to prevent it, the destruction will spread.
Someone said "I'm tired of cops being portrayed as the bad guy". They are getting that reputation due to their own actions. How many dash cam videos have shown police lying during traffic stops? How long did it take to bring John Burge to justice? How long did it take to bring Ronald Watts to justice? How many lives did those two men destroy? How many of tjeir subordinates are still on the job and have faced no reckoning for protecting and abetting criminal cop? How many good cops have been drummed out for "snitching " on fellow officers misconduct?
Like it or not these are not isolated, one off incidents. There is a persistent pattern that has been identified time and again. Reforms have been promised, but never delivered.Last edited: Aug 27, 2020

You do know that crime has been on an overall downward trend over the last 30 years right?bryan21384 Thanks this.

I suspect the riots have spiked that in the opposite direction.
