You do realize that a 40mph difference in speed especially at night even when paying attention you will come uo on that vehicle so fast that reaction time can be at a point where its too late...think about it..

 

Passed a truck yesterday. Driver was reclined back in seat, feet up on dash area each side of steering wheel, one hand on the wheel, on hand holding phone while staring at it. I thought to myself, “you can’t make this stuff up“. The only thing missing from the scene? A blended frozen drink. I thought to myself, only a matter of time before that clown takes someone out.

each circumstance is different, but I am from the position that there really is very few excuses to rear end someone as a professional driver, UNLESS, they cut you off changing lanes directly in front of you and then lock down their brakes. Other than that, you really shouldn’t Reverend anyone for any reason. It’s a no excuse scenario.

You do realize that when the douchebag pulls off the breakdown lane at 0 mph in front of you, you are still responsible for what you do or do not do.
