Not sure what they listed in the ad, but their empire express.com site is up and working? I dont think they hire students but worth a call, I worked for a company that had a drop lot by them in Memphis. Nice looking trucks and always lots of activity over there, I have talked to a couple drivers and they seemed pretty happy.

I drive for Empire Express and like everyone else I know who drives for them we all love the Company. Very friendly people, great trucks, good miles. If you have trouble with you miles and your dispatchers says it's not their job then you just call the Vice President of Operations and he takes care of you. They tell you up front that their most important employee is the drivers because without drivers there wouldn't be a company. Too bad the larger companies don't understand this. Anyway I can't say enough good things about this company.

hows there equipment
-
Empire just bought about 70 new trucks this year and their average age for trucks is about one and a half years. I love this company and have driven to Alaska three times in the last two months.

Wow, after reading their website and their payment plan, they seem like they have their #### together... I will have to look into them after I get my year OTR.
-
Do they allow pets?
-
Empire does not allow pets anymore. They changed their pet policy back in May or 2010 to no pets, due to some places that they pick freight at, mostly chemical places. Empire is a Hazmat carrier. Anyone that already had a pet on the truck when they changed their pet policy, is still allowed to have their pet on the truck, though.
