Howdy, there is a haul from Augusta, GA to Moscow , OH. Has anybody ever hauled Urea? What type of trailer? It pays $60 a ton. I’m just trying to get info and understand what type of equipment I might get.
Thanks in advance!

Google urea and go from there.

edited because my question was dumb.

Around here, it comes into feed plants in grain hopper bottoms.

I've seen urea hauled in pneumatics, bottom dump grain trailers, belt trailers, transfers and end dumps.
The type of plant you're delivering to usually decides what type of trailer is used.intrepidor Thanks this. -
Are you sure it isn’t a liquid? The plant in Augusta loads a ton of liquid urea. I don’t recall hearing anything about dry products other than AN prill, but I’ve never dealt with the dry side so I’m sure they make other stuff.

46-0-0 white round pellets, used for fertilizer.
I hauled it just this morning.
41,993 kgs = 92,578 lbs of it.
Super B train hopper bottom.
I've seen it done in pneumatic trailers, but takes hours to unload, I can dump in six minutes if the facilities are right. As it is I unloaded direct at a farmers, 45 minutes unload and sweep out.Cattleman84 Thanks this. -
Ive literally hauled thousands of tons of the stuff... Hopper bottoms is what I've seen hauling it the most often. But I have also seenbit haules in pneumatics and belt trailers.

What you haul it in depends on where you’re unloading. I’ve hauled it in a pneumatic because the place wasn’t set up for hoppers and I hauled some in a hopper today. Unloading a pneumatic isn’t a lot of fun because the urea will clump up if you start building too much heat.
If the places you’re going have a pit then it can be hauled in anything that you can haul dry bulk in. -
Thanks guys for the info!

sounds like a pneumatic with bottom drop hopper "T"s would be quick over a pit...RockinChair Thanks this.
