The hole does not go all the way through. That hole is made specifically for hooking into.kylefitzy, JonJon78, PoleCrusher and 7 others Thank this.

The way i read the label, you need to go thru it,not hook to it.
Thru nearly all force is downward, hook to it and you have a substantial sideforce and could potentially bend that plate.
I could be wrong in how i see it.
Open to different views.farmerjohn64, Nostalgic and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
that is the correct way to secure from that point. Manufactures use a universal sticker for load securement points. Good job @farmerjohn64cke, PoleCrusher, farmerjohn64 and 6 others Thank this.

That looks like the standard "chain hook" sticker rather than a diagram of how to put chains

That label/decal is "recommended tiedown point" and Bobcat has used the chain hook hole for 30 years that I know of and they are either in thick plate or of thinner plate with reinforcing. The engineers have designed the tiedowns to hold a minimum of 4 times the machines entire weight each before deforming. This was explained to me when I loaded the first load for the company I worked for in 1985. I believe that this still holds true to this day although I don't think the company still issues tiedown diagrams like they did when they made only spray-coupes and were just starting to build their first skid steer loadersFerrissWheel, 650cat425, cke and 9 others Thank this.

I had not seen that label before.
And i'm allways open to other points off view.
Live and learn.
Does Bobcat allow hooking straight to it OR do they want you to put rubber or a rag under the hook to save the paint?FerrissWheel, 650cat425, cke and 3 others Thank this. -
All of the slack should be in the middle?
