    Can only exploit a loophole for so long........


    Personally I think gliders should go back to their original purpose: replacing a worn out/wrecked chassis of a truck with good powertrain. IE a 6 month old truck gets flopped and written off. Glider chassis is ordered and the almost new powertrain from the wreck gets installed in the new glider chassis.

    But how do I meet 2010 or higher emissions with a older engine? I’m looking at this truck Supposedly it’s ELD excempt

    That one is eld exempt but why did a 2014 need a rebuild around 2017 I’d inspect condition very well to ensure it wasn’t abused.

    Yeah I plan on buying a used one 2015-2017 Columbia or Coronado, I just don’t know how much longer they’ll be Eld Excempt, as long as they’re excempt a couple more years I would buy one

    Yeah that’s what I thought too, I’ll definitely take a mechanic with me cause I already got screwed with a cascadia I bought last year, had to sell it and take a loss, or see if I can get a warranty that covers mostly everything, I don’t know if theres warranty for gliders

    ELD will be a contentious issue with cross border trucks in Canada next June . Our exemption i believe will be 1995 or older. And ELD will need to be tested by lab . No self certification like in the USA . Currently no ELD is certified because testing facility only opens in a month or two lol.

    they need to make a new regulation in order to do it which as of right now they have no plans to, it’s just a eld nut huggers dream
