Got a 2014 volvo 780. The seat belt flashing light and annoying dinging noise wont shut off. Yes i got my sealt belt on, ive been able to just wiggle the latch and get it to stop. But now that doesn't work anymore. I think it is the push button inside the latch is worn. So i will buy a ne2 one on monday. But how can i get either the dinging noise to shut off between now and then? Getting the blinking light to shut off would be a plus. But all i really care about for now is that constant ding ding ding.

It's an easy fix but first the new replacement will eventually do the samething. And for 200 dollars you are better off using a papper clip to stop the annoying chime.
So locate the plug and use a papper clip to complete the circuit. This isn't technically legal but how often does Dot inspect the seats in the truck. My truck does the same thing in the winter time so far. Temps below 30 degrees and the chime goes off constantly. I never did use the papper clip.Snailexpress Thanks this. -
I have a '14 and had the same thing happen. Used the paperclip method to complete the circuit. But I believe it is some other sensor or connector related problem, as rarely the red triangle, buzzer, and parking brake indicator will come on while I am going down the road! The seat belt issue seemed to be related to a speed sensor at times.

I have a 2012 and I used the paper clip method.
