Need way more info on the trucks, what you want to do with them, where you operate etc before we can even start giving any sort of advice.

Just know, you ask a very basic and what seems to be a very uneducated question. But since I’ve been in the same situation, I understand.

I could write a whole book just answering this one question. The simple answer is do your research and find what will work best for you. I highly recommend buying pre emission if you come across and make that type of deal

If you have to asked that question, your NOT ready to buy a truck. If you were, you should have an idea by now at least where to start. Not being sarcastic, just stating the facts. I’ll give a a little tip, stay away from anything that has a Paccar, Maxxforce, and Mercedes engines. If your gonna stay away from California, get a pre emissions CAT, Detroit, or Cummins.

Stay away from early Paccar engines unless you plan to delete it. Anything 2016 and later is fine provided you do all the proper inspections.

I have a 2012 T-660 with the MX13. Truck has been reliable with the exception of the emissions system. Two questions:
    1) Are most of the issues resolved after 2016? I thought 2014 and 2015 might be good years.
    2) Have you heard of the early MX doing well on the deletes? I keep considering it!
Are states looking for deleted trucks by the way? I heard they’re starting to crack down.

I want to say 2015 is when they made the changes, so I believe truck model year 2016 and up for sure. The egr is different and also have a new fuel system. I have a 510 / 1850 in my 2017 and I’ve been happy with it.

And I’ve been told the older ones do well after a delete but I’ve never had one or driven one.
