Lease not purchase

The general consensus usually seems to be just save up money an find a decent used truck. If ya don't wanna actually own a truck then lease is the other option i guess. Make sure ya read the fine print. Ya should still save up some money for a safety net. I've never done a lease myself. Most usually advise against such things.

 

Generally, leasing a truck is for people who can't afford to buy a truck, as there is little or no money required to be put down on the truck. Also every lease purchase that I heard of makes everyone money but the person who leased the truck. This is just my honest opinion. But there are plenty of horror stories on TRR.

 

Depends on what kind of lease youre talking about. Gotta read the contracts. Seems like about half the guys on this forum got their truck from lone mountain, which is a lease. Seems like the horror stories come from the guys who lease a truck from the company they work for.

 

If you do a lease, get the equipment from a third party provider ( like a dealership or a leasing company like Penske) have a professional read over the lease agreement before you sign anything.

 

If you intend to lease and not buy the truck , find a place were you can lease a new truck, not a used one with high miles. The payment will be higher, but you’ll at least have a full warranty and not get stuck paying for breakdowns and have nothing to show for it at the end of the term.
