You sign an agreement when you start here that if you quit or get fired in i believe it's the first 90 days that they retain cost of drug test/physical , hotel , and travel to orientation from last settlement. I don't know how much that equals but on what i thought metacoyote said regarding that bein for some 4000 plus miles i would think he would have covered those costs an had something left coming to him.

 

The thing is that unless state law says they can hold the money, then they have to pay it. I doubt anyone has ever challenged them on this. All those costs are part of doing business. They could have you sign a paper saying that you’re liable for blown tires, but that doesn’t make it legal.

 

Do they go over HOS in orientation? I’ve always been shorthall exempt so I’ve never ran logs before

If you're goin to the warehouse and not the main plant those guys don't come in till 5 or 6 in the morning to check your load in at belvidere. We've not been sent to the main plant for over 6 months.
