I need a little help. I am deciding between 2 jobs.
- First offer is UPS freight, it is night job, full time, monday to friday and home daily. Benefits after 30 days and weekly pay they are saying 1100-1200 before taxes.
- Second offer is Schneider Local Intermodal Night job. Full time job, monday to friday and home daily. Benefits after 90 days and weekly pay they are saying around 1100 before taxes, and every 6 months raising pay.
What do you guys think about it ? What would you prefer?

Not enough money to work nights for me.
alds, lovesthedrive, rachi and 1 other person Thank this. -
it's been over a year since i retired, and i still cannot get a good nights sleep.
but i loved nights, less traffic, and if any construction, many times easier ways to get around it.
many times, no scale houses open.
i'd stick with UPS over Schneider. better retirement plans, health benefits, etc.650cat425, alds, Brettj3876 and 3 others Thank this. -
I forgot to mention in UPS I will be driving mostly Class B straight truck, and tractor trailer only when necessary, maybe few times in 6 months. But I will be unloading pallets. It is like feeder driver.
With Schneider it will be tractor trailer and will be need to do hazmat and tanker endorsements. But they have 99% drop n hook -
UPS has the best benefits and retirement plan.
LoboSolo, lovesthedrive, buddyd157 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Thank you guys. for 90% I will go with UPS, because its full time job and like you are saying they have better benefits. But what I know UPS Freight is not union, is is still ok?
-
I'd still go with UPS as a non-union driver over Schneider intermodal. Maybe in the future can move into a union job.
lovesthedrive Thanks this.
