210,964 on my steer tires now and still have 8/32nds tread Michelin steer tires. Usually always get 200k or more. New shocks every 100k and alignment from a reputable location. Darn sure not truck stop alignments.
I forgot how expensive this career can be

I drove on super singles for 2 years with a previous employer and we ran virgin Mitchelin tires. I seem to recall the last set I bought for my truck on their account they were paying about $650 per tire plus installation.
Last month I had 4 new Goodyear drive tires put on my truck, and they were $450 each installed. It really does pay to shop around.User666, Rideandrepair, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yeah it's hard enough for them to change a tire properly and time the rim right Lol let alone trust em enough to do an alignmentRideandrepair, jason6541 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Perhaps, still, I believe the SUV tires were made in Decatur, Ill., and truck tires made in Japan. Besides, with that logic, you won't buy anything these days.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Anyone notice that tire prices first went up a lot, when oil was high? Understandable. But prices never came back down.

We have 8 on the drives on one of the trucks. They took a while to settle down but they're wearing like iron so farUser666 Thanks this.

In Orlando you can get Falken (USA) ones now.. a couple of years ago they were Japanese... or Goodyear Marathons for $750 installed. I always run Chinese drives though. $2100 out the door compared too $1800 from 2018. Last set I had lasted over 2 years and still had about 4-5/32nds on them but sidewalls were getting cracked and they just looked sad. OTR use.User666 Thanks this.

Yea we paid 2000 for 8 ironmans. The last set of sailun drives were 1800 a few yrs ago and got 150k out of em with 5/32 left when we dumped em. Local work. They all wore good and even too

Can you name some more tire manufacturers single handedly responsible for more deaths than Firestone directly due to their tires?

Thanks for the info. I'll look around for those Falkens.
