Ok thanks man appreciate the help. By the way my engine brake is very weak. It does light up in dash when i press engine brake. But i dont feel it at all. Mechanic tried to adjust the valves or whatever it is that needs to be adjusted.
What else could it be -
You stated the truck is deleted. Does it still have the original VTG turbo or no?
-
Yes its deleted. I dont know if the turbo is replaced. I have this picture of it, it says holset.

Afraid I dont have any silver bullets. Will have to be troubleshot. I would lean toward electrical issues if it does nothing.
Cruise work? Clutch, brake pedal, switches?
I asked about the turbo as the engine does use it for engine braking and in fact it is 1/3 of your braking power. -
As for how long the engine will last..... could be 15 miles, could be a million. Crystal ball is foggy today.
If the jakes work but are weak could be worn out jake rockers/ actuators. If nothing at all then electrical as stated aboveAModelCat, bzinger, spsauerland and 1 other person Thank this. -
Cruise works perfect. Its not weak, it just doesnt work at all. What wiring can i check. I checked the fuse, by the clutch pedal. All looks good.
-
Does the engine brake work when the engine is cold? Worn rocker shafts can cause a weak engine brake when the engine is hot.
-
Cold and hot doesnt make a difference i tried it today again. Noticed the cruise control stopped working too
