On a side note that as usual has nothing to do with the topic name, but does include some of the things said at different periods, I try to find the most difficult out of the way parking spots available.

    (1) if they're difficult I haves less chance of my hood being ran over by an inexperienced rookie
    (2) I have less chance of being backed into by an inexperienced rookie
    (3) being an inexperienced rookie it gives me some extra backing practice when I am able to get these spots without slowing anybody else down lol

Just to let you know, some drivers nose in because their reefer is loud and they are trying to be polite and let other drivers rest. I am actually kind of shocked none of the reefer haulers told you this.

Hubby noses in too, but he hauls hopper. Sometimes nosing in gets you a quieter sleep that night, just gets the cab farther away from the traffic moving around the lot.

Exactly why I nose in if given the chance, when I leave
I show about 10' of trailer then wait about 5 seconds then Im bringing the whole rig outta the hole.If ole BOfumblepudyanker is anywhere near he'll likely get fed a trailer snack.

    Just how it is . . . . . .:biggrin_25525:
