Just bought a used 379 single axle and have it hooked up. Front of trailer is 4in taller than rear so I think my 5th wheel needs to be lowered if possible or changed to a low pro 5th wheel. Any tips on looking to see if mine is adjustable or not (it's not the original)? If not, anyone know where to get a good cheap low pro? Thanks

Need close up pics of the risers. Can’t tell from the pic, but it looks like it may already be lo pro.

Pretty positive this one is not adjustable. Just not sure if I can find one lower?

Get the number off the tag on the top plate. Call your local Holland dealer. Ask for the lowest mount. The part between the plate and slider. Or go to the bone yard. Doubt you will loose more than 2 inches.
The low one has the air cylinder in front of the plate.

Have you hooked to a regular semi trailer to see what the clearance is? I don’t think I’d lower it. I would fab a way to slide that one forward out of the way (for option to pull semi trailer) and add another fifth behind it just for the gooseneck types like you have. Custom multi-porpose.

I got a used truck that use to pull tanker. I pulled dry van and set off height warning lights on a 13’9” bridge.
Found out the fifth wheel had 11” high saddle. Had it changed to a 7” saddle.
    Cost close to $1,000

I had skipped the first pic. I agree and have done the same thing. Mine had stationary plates which located the ball a bit more to the rear. Never had a problem that way.
