First road kill

    got my first road kill today contacted my insurance . Any estimate what price and how many days down i am looking forward to. I am 280 miles away from house should i just drive the truck home and get it fixed there. Video and photos attached .

    I sure wouldn't want to sit that close to home. But get it repaired at a reputable shop, even if it is in the wrong direction from home.

    Will prob get it fixed at dealership or wherever insurance wants . Just curious will i get a ticket for this driving down the road .

    That sucks! Makes a Herd or other same style bumper a worthy purchase.
    I would imagine you would get a ticket unless you met the right cop.

    I am sitting right next to peterbilt dealership and was thinking about that but insurance told me to get no repiars done .

    That sucks. You’ll probably be in the shop for a couple weeks. Might as well ask them about a rental truck.

    Got one one time that took the whole bucket out and left the bulbs flapping, it also got the charge air cooler and ac condenser, grill, bumper and fender on passenger side, 8k to repair. Lease truck, so I picked up a loaner where the repair was done at the dealership next door. It was a month before I got sent back to pick it up.

    And the next time by the place the deer lived, I saw a big one limping around. Hit him in the hindquarters, so it probably didn't kill him. Was leaping across in front of me, blur and then crunch. Mt. Ida, WI. See them near there all the time.
