Driver Shortage (supposedly)

I'm telling you I've read posts from highly esteemed members of this forum and they said the driver shortage is real.

 

Rest areas are full.
I like truckstops. Food and a shower. Although the food and choices aren't that great these days.

 

How can there be a parking shortage if there's a driver shortage?

Rest areas, kinda depends on where you run. For instance, there's one east of Indianapolis that is HUGE, and there is always a lot of parking, even deep into the night, but look at how many trucks will settle on that ramp. Me personally, I'll shower in the midst of a run, preferably where I fuel that day. Then it don't matter where I stop. I think the food choices are phenomenal. You got Subway, McDonald's, Wendy's, Hardee's, more Burger Kings are popping up.....then you got the overcharged food in the hot case at the hook.....kind of partial to that pot roast though

 

I get an email from KB every other day, it seems: lol... why in the world would I want to drive for a company that is that needy of drivers? Says something might be wrong there to me........ just saying...... Lol

 

There's a driver shortage north of the Ohio River and in the Rockies once winter hits......

 

Me too! That’s the way I roll: except for the fast food: I cook everything in my truck! Never eat out....
