Not my future! That particular design won't work for teams.

I doubt it will be very common for that reason alone. Now as a concept for a future design, maybe.

intresting concept but completely unpractical unless your a machine and have no use for anything else in your truck like a fridge or tv or any sort of entertainment. Much less room so you dont feel like bubble boy.

The truck concept that they call the fish on the other hand does seem promising in the sense that it still has a normal bed but its in a odd location.

The design is definitely inspired by the late 1930's "Airstream" styling; Chrysler if I remember correctly. Kinda Dr. Seuss too though.

Don't forget, designers generally know little to nothing about the end user, and often deliberately produce exaggerated fantasies for designs to draw extra attention. Also the change from concept to production is dramatic. Designers are seldom restricted by reality, engineers are.

It might work for a day-cab operation.

Why didnt they smooth out the trailer while they were at it? They could have just gone back and watched the 80's tv show 'The Highwayman' and got alot of good ideas.

Just another front for a work in progress, turbine engines don't have all of the same problems to deal with as an internal combustion engine, getting all of the efficiency possible will involve some novel looking solutions.

Dr. Suess might have dreamed up something that looked like this .
