Over the last two weeks, I've been trying to send three units back to RM for repair. All three had the exact same problem, one day they decided they weren't going to turn on anymore.
What I got was two weeks of run-around and hoops to jump through. I explained I knew the units were out of warranty and would gladly pay the repair costs. All I asked for was an address to send them to.
Nope, they wanted numbers I couldn't provide because their crappy labels faded. I explained that. Nope, repeats of the same reply.
I gave them an ultimatum, send me the address for repair or lose a customer. Still more run around.
Today, I free myself of the worst possible customer no-service on the planet. I'd rather call Microsoft for tech support than call or email these folks again.
Their unwillingness to repair their own crappy product speaks volumes...for their competition. Why they would put someone through so much hassle is beyond me. I wasn't trying to get anything for free. I told them up front I was willing to pay. This is what you get when you turn your company over to socially dysfunctional millennials who can't see past their canned replies and practice actual human level customer service.
I now have switched over to Garmin. I encourage all of you to dump your RM devices and switch, too. Someday, some company out there is going to realize that scripts and snarky attitudes aren't what customers want. That company is going to make a killing when word gets out.

I own a useless rand. It was not worth the money. some routes that are only a couple hours would show as 5 or 6 hours. Never worked in places like KC. Hard to change anything cuz had to tap hard on it and finally cracked the screen. Every time I would hit a bump it would turn off. The list goes on. Did not use it for a couple years and it no longer turns on.
I just use Hammer now if I need a map.Snow Hater Thanks this. -
I've been using Hammer since I started driving about 8 mos ago. Once I figured out most of the glitches, and they were few, were because of my phone my confidence in it went way up. I can't remember the last time there was a glitch. I'm running Geotab now and run Hammer along side because Geotab doesn't always get it right.

I have not used one in years. Mostly do the same thing every day but when I need to go somewhere else I usually just open up hammer and look at the map. Fairly accurate.
Google on the other hand has sent me the wrong way many times. " turn right...now make a uturn...."BoostedTeg Thanks this. -
My Dezl770 always gives the correct ETA for the time zone I am going to. If yours won't, switch to hours to get there and do the math.Blue Zombie Trucker Thanks this.

My 780 does this correctly also.
It does some other things wrong, though. It loves to send me out of route, then 2 left turns or a u turn, that sort of thing.
Once it craps out, I'm going back to Smart Truck Route 2, I'll put it on a small tablet and be happy again.
For the MOST part, my Dezl 780 is ok, but definitely not a good value for the price. The occasional routing error alone is ridiculous, and handled far better by an app that costs less than 5 bucks a month.
