Anyone heard of Great Lakes insurance for physical damage and non-trucking liability?
Looks like AM Best gives them an A+ but was wondering if anyone had personal experience with them?

They are pretty good. I like Sentry & Great West better, but that's just my view from having spent time as an agent and account manager dealing with them on an almost daily basis for over a year. I only know Great Lakes by reputation, never dealt with them. When I asked our assigned Senior Underwriter at GWC he had nothing bad to say at the time.

Thank you JR, I appreciate the help bud.

How does Progressive compare to the others? I knew they insured personal autos but didn't know they also had commercial insurance until recently.

Progressive was pretty good and easy to deal with. Their NTL & PD lines went through a rate change and became competitive.

That's who I ended up going with. They were a little more expensive ($600) than Great Lakes but more reputable and settle claims pretty fast from what I hear.

From what I have heard, they seem a decent company. But no personal experience with them.
