As a proud American I realize it's not about borders per say but more about freedom and liberty and those who think likewise. This #### gonna be hard to beat fellas. We need all the help we can get down here. If we all think alike we can take the whole f'n continent back.
AModelCat, Phantom Trucker and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -

Anyone can have an opinion, but I'm afraid of people like yours when it comes to the virus. You say to hide if, for example, I'm afraid. Such an attitude of an alleged hero would destroy the economy in a few months, people in the field hospitals will not buy what you bring. The virus is invisible as well as the death of those who have already died because until someone from your close family dies who cares about it in general

Well at some point, we're all going to die. When my numbers up, I want to look back and think "dang I had a good time while I was here!", not sit there thinking about the year(s) I wasted living afraid.InTooDeep, reeferwrencher, Trucker Paul and 4 others Thank this.

I've travelled all over the world, but I follow the advice of Global Affairs Canada regarding personal safety and security for the countries I travel in. I take out supplementary health and travel insurance.
I've jumped out of airplanes, but only with a parachute.
I've raced cars, with roll bars, five or six-point harnesses, helmet, fire suit, etc. Raced motorcycles with helmet, leathers, gloves, spine protection, etc.
I've stood in the middle of a frac spread on high H2S wells with Nomex, a hard hat and respirator.
I've eaten food from Conklin Corner.
I go out, but I wash my hands, sanitize, maintain social distancing and wear a mask when I can't or when it's required.
"...at some point, we're all going to die." Yes we are, but I have no interest in accelerating the process.
It isn't about being "afraid." It is about risk management.
I would say I have had, and am having, a good time. YMMV.BigHossVolvo, AModelCat, peterd and 3 others Thank this. -
I should also mention I have survived the Gold Range spotlight in Yellowknife and the "Zoo" in both High Level and Inuvik too.
Flint1 Thanks this. -
Fair enough. I just find it so hard to take seriously when the media talks this thing up like its the Black Plague every day. Looking at it from a logical standpoint it really doesn't look that bad. Personally I think far too many blindly swallow what the media says and don't look at the situation objectively and form their own conclusions. Yes we should take some precautions but I'm not going to let this affect the enjoyment of my life.reeferwrencher, Badmon, dunchues and 2 others Thank this.
