You're the lord and master in your castle and she exists to serve you, right?
Man, I hate to break this to you but women are never ever going back to those days. A marriage license is not a certificate of indentured servitude.
When you get a chance, check your calendar. We're well into the 21st century and the old ways aren't going to work any more.
I had the same wife for over fifty years and she was an equal partner in everything we did. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

 

Incidentally the whole "lord and master" thing didn't start until the 1400s. Just saying.

 

Something will have to change because we are nothing but at odds now. Probably get worse before it gets better. Trust me, it’s NOTHING like you remember it out there between the sexes. It’s a mangled mess of a warzone with men and boys opting out. Women are toxic. Sorry to say it but it’s true.

 

my wife to be grew up very poor and was never taught how to handle money or credit..shes learning tho .

I'm suspecting not so much about his age, but that Mr Red Pill is rather young. Society among the 20 and 30 year olds is quite lacking in the social skills that made marriage civilized in the older generations. the ability to communicate, calm the butthurt before it gets out of control, the patience. younger generations are forgoing intimate and taxing relationships because they are just not prepared with the skills to make them work. one of the reason for the group of peers type relationships that are more common now, like the tv show Friends.

 

Maybe so, but a relationship based on a "me Tarzan, you Jane" philosophy isn't really a relationship. A partner is just that, a partner, and should be treated as such.
If that means that sometimes you chew a hole in your lip trying not to run off at the mouth when the inevitable conflicts arise, so be it. Your partner has probably chewed a hole in their lip a time or two.
I was lucky to have had the same partner for over fifty years. More than that really, 'cause we went to school together from first grade on. Sometimes...a lot of times...she worked a hell of a lot harder at the relationship than I did. It took me a long time to realize that and to copy it.
