Frightening news about "swine flu", and our government

Folks who were around during the polio epidemic (I'm much too young....) remember the quarantines and the stigma caused by the public's ignorance of the disease.
People even thought you could contract polio from swimming in public pools........

 

You can, thats where I got the crabs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Uh...so that's why Micheal Phelps can swim so fast......

 

I heard that growing up as a kid. They claim that if you go swimming to early in the season you will get polio..

 

jeez I wonder why it is now ok to quarantine folks that get the flu, that will make you sick, but not kill all that get it, and then recover, but they never did that with anyone who had the deadly AIDS virus that kills all and has no recovery.

 

Because at the time it became shaded as a discrimination issue - besides, AIDS is not a highly contagous disease... you don't get it by being coughted on by someone. Take a bit more contact that that I hear.

 

Saliva alone is no problem.

But if there is any blood in the cough, then problems can exist.

It may be wrong, but I treated most patients as a possible in order to protect my life.

 

A boy in an elementary school were i live died of swine flu a week ago or so.They called home and left a message

 

What? They called you and left a message, or did they call they boys home and say "Sorry but your child just died, please come and pick him up"
