To apply for a position at a furniture warehouse... do some companies have drivers load and unload their trailers at the warehouses, stores businesses, and neighborhood deliveries?
Would it be a good idea to have forklift and electric pallet jack certifications?

That just means they make you do more work.
road_runner and buddyd157 Thank this. -
That could also qualify you for a job that has them as a requirement. And get you unloaded sooner than if you had to wait for someone to do it.

True, but in my experience one of those two scenarios comes about considerably more than the other.
I could get a TWIC card and forklift certs, but it won’t come with a corresponding increase in pay.Texas_hwy_287, Ol'Shusquatch and buddyd157 Thank this. -
I had one company not honor another companies cert for forklift, so it's not really worth it.

More certs = more regulations and as has been said for no more net financial gain.
I have no problem loading/unloading at home and being paid by the hour for it.
I do have a problem, running around on some other outfits terminal or ground and being exposed to the liability around that. They employ people to do that.alds Thanks this. -
that's why after my TWIC expired, i said screw it, i ain't getting paid more.
as far as fork lift certs, even if you do have them, many times, the customer does not allow you to use them.homeskillet Thanks this.
