Truck driving is not "BIG MONEY"

I have several college degrees and had two prior careers, one in the military. Therefore, I have to respectfully disagree with the OPs opinion that truck drivers are uneducated scum.

Some of us have other reasons for choosing this LIFESTYLE. (key word) Many reasons bring drivers to the seat. Not all are hard luck or no brains.

Does the pay equal the work requirements? Not really. But that won't be fixed until a professional driver is classified as skilled labor by the Dept. of Labor.

First of all he's not my friend. I don't see anywhere in the post you quoted that I referred to him as a friend. I don't have any friends like that guy. Don't want them either.
Last I heard he bought a place in town. He pissed everybody off up here when he went into the tribal offices and wanted to know if the neighbors (meaning my son and I) were prone to violence or other unfriendly acts.
The land is still for sale. The price is dropping, too.

 

Yeah, that's true. He kinda shot himself in the foot by not doing a little fact checking first.
Maybe he thought we were going to get our war ponies and attack his little wagon train.
. That's okay, he's somebody else's problem now.

 

That should be on a decal on every truck dashboard......

Nope, firewater makes some people stupid. I tried it when I was young and I lost IQ points I'll never get back and couldn't really spare to begin with.
None of my kids took to it either and for that I'm very grateful.
