Associated Grocers of NE in Pembroke, NH is a great receiver. I was a security officer for them for almost four years.
The lumper service is a pain but they will come out to the truck to wake you up.
Security will also wake you up before your appointment time, I got a three day vacation once for failing to wake a driver for his appointment.
They offer parking on the property from 3am Sunday to 4pm Saturday inside the gates and parking 24hrs outside the gate.
Eventually once Cooperative Way gets expanded to connect to rt3 and rt 28 theirs going to be a truck park and some 24hr restaurants on the street.
AGNE serves mom and pop markets and convinence store through out New England and parts of New York.

MY husband and I HATED delivering to Continential Freezers in Chicago. Appointment time was always 9:00 am. and we were never out of there until 5:00 or 6:00 pm. You go in at rush hour and come out at rush hour. It would take two lumpers three hours just to unload the trailer. They need a break every 15 minutes you know! We should get so lucky!!!

I agree with ya, all other shippers/recievers and their behaviour vary depending on which state or city or depending on their traffic. Walmart however almost always stable regardless of location or traffic, u know when u are getting a dock and u know when u are leaving. Not the fastest reciever or shipper but better than sometimes early and sometimes 9 hour detention. Also there is no rip off lumper charges. 50 $ thats it.

I hate to say it buy I love Walmart DC's. You show up ontime with the apointment #, with plenty of time to get off the property and there's never a problem. Just drop & hook.

I also like NYC deliveries, because the nearest truckstop is home. LOL.

Abbott Dietary in Sturgis MI. Loaded in two hours and told us to sleep while they loaded. Came and politely knocked on our door when they were done.

P&G in Lima, Ohio sucks IMO. If they want the tandems slid and the trailer swept out they should do it themselves. They want you to do it. They could have a broom and trash can there but it easier for every driver coming in there to have a broom and carry a trash can? Of course not, that is wasteful. Drivers should waste all their time jumping through hoops at shippers and receivers. Drivers have all the time in the world and their labor is free according to shippers like P&G. Thanks P&G, FYKMA!

It's not that hard to slide the tandems all the way back and to sweep a trailer out. Also it's not their trailer. It's your companies. I believe sliding tandems and sweeping trailers is in the job description. And I do carry a broom and I bet a lot of other drivers do too.

Actually it is hard to slide tandems on some trailers and the people working the gate at P&G will not help you slide them. Do you think it makes more sense for every truck driver in the united states to buy a broom or for P&G to buy a broom? Should we cut down a forest to make brooms? Do you think that P&G does not own a broom? Why can't they lend it to drivers? Where do they expect you to sweep the trash to? Someone else's parking lot? Fact is they do not care about anything or anybody except their S****y rules. How do you thing the trailer got dirty in the first place? Another pos receiver left it dirty that is how. They don't care because some idiot driver will clean it out for them. Drivers have lots of time to do other peoples work.
