Never fails.
I left K'ville this morning around 7. And of course I have a Century.
Think I'll go pick the wrong lottery number now, pardon me......

Too funny 48Packard!
Anybody with a Prostar figured out how to make this beast idle yet? Tried releasing the tractor brakes, no luck. Setting the cruise don't work, noeither does any of the other random button pushes I've tried -
Bummer. How long do they idle now? Hopefully long enough to get the engine temp up on a cold morning.
-
After 3 minutes the "idle shut down" light comes on, 30 seconds later... Caput. You can reset the timer by feathering the accelerator or pushing in the clutch. It's pretty lame for 34 hour resets when the battery pack dies after 8 hours and it's 80 degrees outside. It will long idle above 85 or below 5.Elusive Thanks this.

Doesn't the engine start when the battery pack dies? Also, the person to talk too would be Redbeard as he has one.

Today I was pondering about how to go about trip planning my next load assignment and a lil lightbulb went on in my head and the thought<<< How would ET do it!??!>>> popped into my head.....I thought about it for a few minutes, pondering and a pondering , and then said...."bah" and went back to bed....but thanks ET for the insight!
The Stump Guy, tucker and Weazz Thank this. -
I miss ET.

Really miss your road stories, brudda! Love to read some more! Maybe you are working on that book?
I know this thread can get "stupid" sometimes, but perhaps just post the adventures and disappear again. Just need another fix.
The Stump Guy Thanks this. -
Sorry, my ProStar has the Espar bunk heater but not the battery pack A/C. It has ICON (similar to Opti-Idle) for A/C. I set it but leave the thermostat off when I park and use heat. The engine will start to charge the batteries, but I don't think it counts as idle time on the Qualcomm, as my idle time is currently pretty low. Sorry for any typos, as I am tapping this out on my phone. Sitting in Aurora, CO at a customer who insists my appointment isn't until tomorrow though I have a 2nd stop in Denver in a few hours...Weazz Thanks this.
